This was a project at a property in Nashville, IN. A rear retaining wall had fallen down many years ago and the new property owners wanted to rebuild this retaining wall to better match some old photos they found in the log cabin (from back in the 1950's estimated time). Here is the "before picture" from the start of the project: After the area was dug out and prepared "by hand" as no machinery or equipment could be used... as there was no way to access this area due to a steep hill and tight trees. Finished retaining wall with back drainage/stone and integrated downspout drainage!
Good news... there isn't any lawn care for December! Just kidding...
Hopefully, you have already cut your grass short for the winter season... as we don't want to cut grass if its dormant. If you haven't yet done your fall cleanup, you should remove any debris and/or leaves left on the grass... to avoid mold and fungus. Avoid walking on your grass once its frozen. We want to avoid breaking the grass blades and creating paths in the lawn. If you put your lawn mower away, consider sharpening the blade and using a fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank so the mower is ready for next spring. Better yet, put your feet up... and sit by a warm fire... and contact Top Notch Mowing and let us handle your lawn care starting in the spring! |
